Further information on the Temple of Shanhur in Upper Egypt

A grant from the Gerda Henkel Foundation (Düsseldorf, Germany) was jointly awarded to Professor Martina Minas-Nerpel (principal fellow, Swansea) and Professor Harco Willems (KULeuven) for the continuation of their research on the temple of Isis in Shanhur. The project also benefits from the support of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council of Great Britain. The international team also includes Dr. Marleen de Meyer (Leuven), Dr. Peter Dils (Leipzig), Dr. René Preys (Namur and Leuven), and Dr. Troy Sagrillo (Swansea). In Egypt, the mission is supported by the Supreme Council of Antiquities, the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) in Cairo, and the Netherlands-Flemish Institute (NVIC).
