The Collected Works of Preacher and Theologian Jonathan Edwards Now Available Online
The Yale Divinity School website has uploaded online the collected works of Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758), arguably one of America’s most influential theologians. The website provides not only his published writings but also scanned manuscripts, all free of charge. With historic sermons such as “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” Edwards played a decisive role in colonial America’s Great Awakening movement. According to Kenneth Minkema, who leads Yale’s Jonathan Edwards Center, scholarly interest in the theologian of Puritan and Calvinist heritage has been steeply increasing. The online version of his works hopes to facilitate such research.
